I had panned an early fall trip to the Blue Ridge mountains when Hurricane Matthew hit the east coast. It brought a lot of wind and rain to the mountains of North Carolina but also brought some amazing opportunities for unique lighting. This was one of the most amazing displays of light rays I had every seen and was lucky to be on the Blue Ridge Parkway where I had a good vantage point.
