15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Lightening Over Zion National Park
I drove up Kolob Terrace Road, a part of Zion National Park, in hopes of viewing the Perseid Meteor Shower. It ended up being a very heavy monsoon night. I didn't get to see any meteors, but the light show this storm put on was a fantastic surprise!
