Just before 5 AM a loud sound from lightning striking very close by had woken me up. I went outside (under the cover of my porch) and set up my camera and tripod in my backyard as more lightning strike occurred close by. I set up my "Striker II" lightning detector setting on top of my camera and went inside to watch the show. This is one of the photos it took as the lightning struck my buoy in the water (which had a chain attached to the sand).
