Lightning Storm over Hayden Valley

This is a picture of a summer thunderstorm rolling through Hayden Valley in Yellowstone National Park. Lightning was coming down every 2-3 minutes and it was out in the distance so I decided to stop. Of course on the one day I left the tripod in the hotel room, an fantastic lightning storm would occur. Fortunately I was able to use the hood of the car are a tripod and start firing. This shot was taken as the storm approached my location and I was sent packing as it began to pour.
