While doing a Dark Sky tour through the mid states we got to our main destination, Black Mesa. Rated of the darkest skies in America. While we were setting up to photograph/timelapse the Milkway there was a lightning storm in the distance. The storm was non-stop lightning for what seemed like an hour. The photo was a capture of our Milkyway while the storm rolled through.
