At the circus, the eyes of the audience are trained on the performers. The higher the performers ascend, the smaller they appear to be. In this shot, I decided to focus on the performers’ shadows instead of on the performers themselves. The shadows are dominant, and they ensure that the tight rope walkers loom larger than life.
