Rochester, NY is famous for holding its annual Lilac Festival, which displays hundreds of lilac bushes of many different varieties in bloom. I always am on the lookout for my favorite type of lilac, with its buds boasting a deep purple hue outlined in white. One can almost smell the sweet fragrance from this perfect lilac that is pictured, with the sunny blue sky of late spring in the background.
