Independence Day is the busiest time of the year on the National Mall in Washington D.C. The Lincoln Memorial is the prime viewing spot for the capital's fireworks display. Some visitors arrive four hours in advance just to have a spot at Lincoln's feet to celebrate our nation's independence.
