This image is part of my ongoing series "Little Yellow Chair" where I hike with, and insert a wooden chair into various Western NC waterfall landscapes. The yellow chair and I share almost identical experiences in the process of making these images; perpetually being torn apart and pushed closer to our natural state by our environment. Each drop of water and every grain of sand is part of this process that steadily strips back the chair’s layers, cleanses its impurities, and leaves it in its truest form.
