I was lost in splendid beauty of Zanskar valley in Padum Himalayan Village in Kargil District of J & k state of India. This Himalayan village is at an altitude of 12000 ft which is a cold desert region & agriculture is mostly through channels of glacier water and i was touched & inspired by how this communities has survived this harsh weather for centuries through sustainable agriculture and innovative water harvesting systems like Artificial glaciers.
