Llanganuco Valley

This place may be perhaps the main attraction for tourism in the White Andean Mountain Range of Peru a mountain complex of 200,000 M 2, located in Huaraz. The llanganuco Valley, holds several important mountains such as (from left to right as seen in the picture), the Chopicalqui (6354 M.a.s.l), Huascaran (6768 M.a.s.l and highest mountain of Peru), The Orconcocha and Chinacocha twin lagoons, the Huandoy (6395 M.a.s.l) and Pisco (5760 M.a.s.l). This gigantic mountain complex is the home for about 300,000 people that live in harmony with nature. Due to the accelerated global warming phenomenon, the glaciers are melting at a rate that has never seen before, putting at risk all of the people that depend on this fragile and beautiful habitat. As a photographer and human being, I’ve chosen to invest my youth and life to document the very heart and soul of the mountain, climbing several of these snowy mountains, hiking to the most remote lagoons and living a unique experience in the most beautiful part of my country. This is part of the Ice Giants of Peru: White Andean Mountain range book that will be published by the ending of 2023 featuring QR codes, 360 views from the peaks of several mountains, hyper lapse and time-lapse as well as fine art images.
