We were staying in the Dorsodouro neighborhood of Venice, Italy and decided to meet at our friend's apartment rental for a cocktail before dinner because their balcony offered a quiet, relaxed place to sit and experience 'la dolce vita' (the sweet life). This Ponte Minori (small bridge) is along a small canal a short way from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Dorsodouro. The scene is quite different than the more crowded and frantic areas of Venice, and this photo depicts the locals and tourists mingling in the early evening.
