Loi Protip ceremony of Khmer people

Loi Protip (a water lantern) is usually a model of the main hall or some typical Khmer architecture, held on the full moon day of the 9th lunar month (October 10 this year). In the photo, groups of Khmer people in the hamlet around Bat Pagoda (Wathseraytecho - Mahatup, a famous spiritual tourist destination in Soc Trang province, Vietnam) begin to parade through the alley to release a water lantern into the river, creating the night was very beautiful. Along with the Protip, there was also Sadam drum team, Robam dancers, Hanuman monkeys and monks who expressed their gratitude to the god koong kea (god of water) who brought favorable rain and wind, wished for everyone's blessings, healthy and bountiful crops.
