London's Big Ben Receives a Face Lift

London's most recognizable structure: Scaffolding surrounds the clock face of Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) in London during a four-year restoration project. Big Ben's, clock is housed in Elizabeth Tower, which rises above the Palace of Westminster along the River Thames. The first chimes of the Big Ben clock were heard in 1859.
