Caption: Lone goat - Petra, Jordan. Story: We were walking along a trail lined with Bedouin tea and craft shops when I heard a goat bleating over and over again. I followed the sound to see the goat in silhouette, standing well above the trail on top of a dark rose sandstone ledge, the golden rock formation rising high behind it. I was struck by the monumentality and stark beauty of the sunlit stone contrasted with the dusky oval of the little animal's body.
