Lone Tundra Swan

Tundra swans generally travel in large flocks and are transient migrators to the Kettle River Valley of NE Washington state, but truly are rarely seen here. I caught this solo swan in the flood plains of the Kettle River, apparently resting on its migration northwards. It stayed in the area for a couple of days.
