Lonely flamingo

Flamingos are known to appear during the winter in these wetlands where they find a perfect climate and plenty of food, before migrating to Africa again. From September to March, these usually non-migratory birds come back to the southern Tuscan marshes where they are appreciated by local researchers, photographers and nature lovers. To experience a solitary specimen was curious, therefore I had to immortalise the moment, more for him than for me.
