14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Lonely place
While vacationing in Maine, my wife and I went down to the seashore. A heavy fog had rolled in, chasing away a lot of the other tourists. I had a feeling that there were still beautiful photos to be taken. I saw this seagull floating in the bay, and it looked quite lonely surrounded by fog.
