18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Look Up
After a successful hike, and spending far too much time on the summit, I made my way down Old Rag Mountain. However, as luck would have it I left in such a rush that I forgot my headlamp. Night quickly descended and I was hiking through the darkness, but when I looked up it was so worth it.
