16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Mobile
Looking back in the driver's side rear-view mirror East at the sunrise, as I drove into darkness to the West
I was driving West while the sun was rising and happened to look behind in the mirror and noticed the difference of the colors, the contrast between heading West into darkness and behind me in the East, with the sun starting to light up the sky.
