In 2015, I took a six month sabbatical to travel through Europe, learn French, and study art and history. I stayed in 12 countries as far ranging as England, Greece, the Czech Republic, and Portugal. While in Lagos, Portugal, I scampered along the cliffs of Farol da Ponta da Piedade, a point overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There, I watched local fishermen work their lines, some even expressing a little exasperation over their (lack of) catch for the day!
