What is usually a very busy one-way street filled with hundred of buses, taxis, cars, shuttles and official vehicles was completed empty with no movement during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. LAX is the world's fourth-busiest airport by passenger traffic and eleventh-busiest by cargo traffic, serving over 88 million passengers and more 2 million tons of freight and mail in 2019. It is the second-busiest airport by passenger boardings in the United States.
