Losing Hope
The artwork "Losing Hope" consists of 12 photos. Here I explore the slow, painful process of watching hope fade. Through a series of photos, I capture the deflation of a red, heart-shaped balloon tied to a dumbbell. In start, the balloon floats freely in the air, full of life and possibility. But as time passes, it begins to go down, weighed down by the burden it is attached to. In finish the balloon deflates, collapsing weakly beside the dumbbell. This visual metaphor reflects the emotional journey of hope gradually slipping away, leaving behind a sense of exhaustion. This artwork is part of a large art project called “Fragile Beginnings” about the complexity of motherhood and the sanctity of human life.
