12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Lost and forgotten
I met a homeless Vietnam veteran named Wally who was stationed in Saigon during the late 1960's and who has suffered with PTSD, addiction and alcoholism since then. He has been homeless since 1982 and is originally from East hartford Connecticut. Wally's story and eyes are powerful and tells a story. The weather was cold and overcasted that day and very windy. Limited coloring.
