The California Delta, where the deltas of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers converge near San Francisco Bay, is a remarkably bucolic corner of the state around an hour from some of the state's busiest cities. For me, this sign encapsulated the cutural differences between the Delta and nearby San Francisco.
