Lost in Thought
I visited the famous Japanese macaques at Jigokudani Monkey Park in January 2017. I focused on this lone baby Japanese macaque, bathing away from the rest of the troupe, and took a series of portrait shots. I liked this one, which seems to show it lost in thought, the most. Eventually, the macaque got out of the hot spring pool. I was sad to learn that this baby macaque was disabled, with a deformed foot. Maybe this was why it was isolated from the rest.
