Lou: A Happy Life after Rescue

Lou suffered unimaginable cruelty and torture prior to being resucued. Open cuts and scars covered his body; he was missing an ear, had a damaged eye and infected with heart worms. After being rescued and patiently brought back to health, it became clear that his abuse did not define him. He is a gentle, loving soul who brings joy to all who meet him. Adults and children are drawn to his gentle nature, perhaps aware of his past suffering and his kind heart. He is known as the "people whisperer" because he brings the goodness out in all who meet him.
