My Grandmother suffered a brain stroke two years back. It left her body partially paralyzed and she has been diagnosed now, as slipping into dementia. Before her afflictions, she used to spend time in the courtyard talking to the neighbors and looking after her plants. Now, her attendants try to make her recall her earlier days.
