Lovely Lashes

It was my first time encountering and photographing a Barred Owl. It was tucked away in a tree, slightly obscured by branches, but the late evening sun still provided enough subtle rays of warm light to quickly capture a few photos. I was a little fixated on those feathery lashes which really stood out when it closed its eyes. Such an extraordinary bird and a very memorable experience.
