Castelmezzano is a town mounted amongst the Lucanian Dolomites, being part of the Parco Regionale delle Dolomiti Lucane (Regional Park of the Lucanian Dolomites), so called for their similarity with the most known Dolomites in the Alps, north Italy. Castelmezzano is situated is the province of Potenza in Basilicata, South Italy.
