Ma Hajiani's Dargah

The silhoutte of a sufi shrine in uptown Mumbai is in stark contrast to the colourful swaying lights of the high rise apartments towering over this late medieval period shrine with arabesque architecture. Ma Hajiani's Dargah is dedicated to the sister of a sufi saint Haji Ali. The saint and his sister perished on sea and their bodies were washed ashore at a fishing village in what is now Bandra in Mumbai.
