This is a Maasai tribe elder. The Maasai are an African tribe from Kenya and Tanzania and have been the subject of many legends, stories, films, photographs and even fashion trends. The are pastoralists, relying primarily on their cattle for sustenance from the cows meat, milk and blood. In the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya they have become the protectors of the many species of wildlife that live there, many of which are endangered.
