Maasai Silouette

Employing citizens to demonstrate their culture and way of life is inherently sustaining. The lodge where this was taken is in the middle of Maasai territory in Tanzania. There is nothing around but savannah where the Maasai graze their cattle. The lodge that is the center of the tourist attraction is made of native mud, dung and sticks. The authentic environment enables to local people to live their lifestyle while entertaining tourists in that environment. As evening fell, after a spear-throwing demonstration, they sang and danced a welcome and friendship song for us.
