Mary Mill's convenient location next to the Blue Ridge Parkway makes it a popular stop. The mill and the nearby museum illustrate the life in the Appalachia in the old days. Peculiarly, while the mill is located in Virginia, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, its image appeared on postcards from many other states.
