17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
The "Miroir d'Eau" in Bordeaux is with its 3450 square meters the largest mirror fountain in the world. This huge water feature, surrounded by the splendid 18th century houses, fascinates with alternating mirror and fog effects.
The regular metamorphoses of the 2 cm "deep" water on a gigantic granite slab transform the place in a magical way into a magnificent play area for children and a wonderful backdrop for photographers.
I enjoyed it so much to watch the kids playing their water games.
