This magnificent Macaw was photographed in Costa Rica in The Jaguar Rescue Center, This Parrot along with another fellow lives and roams freely in this Sanctuary. Because these birds have gotten used to being around humans the sanctuary had no other option than to take care of them. I was lucky to be up close with these beautiful birds and to take some magnificent shots of them. I will add that these birds were originally wild but due to humans unfortunately they cannot be put back into the wild which is why the Sanctuary takes care of them.
