Making paper
Here is a large paper mill which produces huge amounts of air and water pollution. It is situated next to a park and a baseball playground in Toledo, Oregon (a town of approximately 3,500 people). Wastewater is pumped from the mill along the Yaquina River. The mill has a history of permit violations for numerous spills. During emergencies, the mill also discharges directly into the Yaquina River, just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean.
