We were wandering in our Pontoon boat through some of back sloughs near Discovery Bay California when we came across a lone female Mallard sitting on a log. The water was very calm making for some great reflections. As we watched and photographed her she jumped off the log landing in the water right in front of us then just paddled away down the slough.
