Mallards headed our way at The Elliot Preserve

Spiritual Connection with a Mallard: My husband and I often take a ride to the shore to practice eco-therapy. On the way to the shore, we decided to switch things up and head to The Elliot Preserve- a hidden gem with adirondack chairs facing the Indian River. From a distance, we could see a few ducks in the water but with the sun in our eyes, it was difficult to identify them. Before you know it, we could see two mallards gracefully gliding their way to us quicker than I could adjust the focus on my camera. Both the male and female mallards came within two feet of us. It was almost as if they wanted to tell us something. I felt an immediate sense of calm. We were mesmerized by their colors and character. My husband and I looked at each other and smiled. It was a true spiritual experience to have mallards by our side.
