Maria is a mother living in a village on the China-Pakistan border. Her husband and kids are all stationed at the frontier. To provide them with nourishing food for their duties, she is carefully filling a sheep's lung with a flour-water mixture to make steamed sheep lung - a sustaining meal for her family to take on their journeys.
