Mama and baby elephants made in the shade
This mother and baby elephant are residents at the Kariega Game Reserve in South Africa. On an afternoon game drive, we found them huddling under the shade of this tree to escape the heat and enjoy a little snacking. Mother elephants often place this trunks on their young as a sign of affection and to provide reassurance.
