Mama Sese: the Atlas of Tanzania
Mama Sese, she is by far the person that struck me the most during my 4 months staying in Tanzania. Her strength and resilience showed me how tough can a human being be. She wasn't just taking care of her children, but also managing the fields, organizing the family food storage and looking after her neighbours. When I saw her breastfeeding her youngest child, who was almost falling asleep, while preparing dinner I see her becoming Atlas, the ancient Greek God taking the weight of the whole world over her shoulders.
