Mammoth Hot Spring, Yellowstone
This is a zoomed in photo of one of the platforms at the Mammoth Hot Spring in Yellowstone National Park. As the hot water flows over the platform, travertine (a calcium carbonate mineral similar that calcite found in limestone) is deposited. I feel that everyone should have the opportunity to visit such places to witness the wonders and beauty that nature can provide.
