Man in Qissa Khawani Bazaar, Peshawar-Pakistan

The city of Peshawar in Pakistan sits in a valley near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass in the border with Afghanistan and is known as "City on the Frontier". Its strategic location on the crossroads of Central and South Asia made it one of the most culturally vibrant and lively cities in the greater region. The Qissa Khawani Bazaar or 'Bazaar of The Story tellers’ used to attract merchants, to its tea stalls (Qehwa khanas), in the past. The city is the land of the Pathans - a completely male-dominated society, who are faithful Muslims.
