Mandala with Miniature Tulips
My goal with this photo was to take something from nature and photograph it in an original way, and I wanted to create art that challenges the viewer to look at the natural world in a new way. The unique characteristics of the tulips are emphasized when rendered within the rotational symmetry of the mandala form. The curved green leaves make a great frame for the flowers. The center of the design highlights the tulip’s anthers. An in-camera multiple exposure of eight exposures was used to create the effect.
