MANG THIT ANCIENT BRICK VILLAGE

Mang Thit ancient brick village is the largest traditional brick and ceramic village in the Mekong Delta. The ancient brick village is more than 100 years old. Stretching over 30km in Vinh Long city, Long Ho district of Mang Thit district, western Vietnam. It has a large prime clay mine and is also a source of raw materials to create unique brick and ceramic products. In order for the products to be durable, the people here have built these kilns. Every day the kilns make millions of bricks and various ceramic products. And these products are special red, so it is also known as the Red Kingdom. Columns of white smoke from brick-burning create a blurry and fairytale scene. So far, as the available clay resources are dwindling and brickmaking is no longer suitable, these brick kilns have partially ceased production, only a few are still active. The Red Kingdom of Mang Thit has become a place for tourists to visit and travel.
