13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Mangrove in Blue
It was an unusually calm day at Merritt Island near Cape Canaveral. We were out photographing wildlife when we came upon these mangroves in the marsh. Since a calm reflection is very rare out there this was the perfect time to photograph the mangroves. I then took it into Topaz and gave it a painterly touch with the watecolor filter.
