Marigolds and Monarch
Even within a congested city such as Houston, Texas, the beauty of nature is present. This photograph was taken at our home as I worked on pruning our roses in the front flower bed. This butterfly was not easily startled and flew around are yard for quite some time. It "posed" for this photograph, which I casually took with my phone camera, as I enjoyed watching it flutter around our yard. It was a great reminder on a Sunday afternoon to stop and smell the roses.
