The Master of Mayhem is one of the main ringmasters for Herefordshire's favorite border morris group Blackthorn Ritualistic Folk. In a deep West Country Somerset accent the Master of Mayhem both directs the morris dancers while also taking the audience on a folkloric journey through time, where they uncover ancient pagan roots and traditions. This photograph was taken at this year's Samhain: an ancient Gaelic festival which marks the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker months.
