Matho monastery alarm clock
Matho Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located 26 kilometres southeast of Leh in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, northern India, on the banks of the Indus River. Every morning one of the monks do the calling to morning Puja, first ceremony of the day, from the top the roof in order to alert other monks that it's Puja's time! Then every monk from monastery arrives gradually and enter to temple. The monk in the picture was calling other monks sticking a large piece of wood like a drum.
